Moroccan football fans clashed with police in London on Thursday night after their team’s 2-0 defeat to France in a World Cup quarterfinal.

Officers equipped with shields and batons were deployed to Edgware Road to control the unruly crowd as some supporters taunted police and threw bottles and other projectiles.

According to The Sun, one officer was injured and taken to hospital. A video from the scene appears to show police officers attending to a colleague lying on the ground while several ambulances are parked nearby.

Another video appears to show a crowd chasing a group of police officers while throwing projectiles.

France defeated Morocco at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele each scoring once.
